Allow adult sites to be sold
Flippa should be a neutral marketplace and shouldn't distinguish between sites for sale on the basis of content.

Don't allow adult sites to be sold
I do not want to log in and see Porn Sites for sale on Flippa. I am an Adult, but do not consider these Adult sites, they are porn. Seeing there is a thread to suggest them, maybe there should be a thread here against them. Anyone else?

Don't allow auction owner to delete comments
Comments can be seen as an anti-fraud measure, as they allow users to signal issues with an auction. However, they also allow users to talk down an auction without basis, so we allow auction owners to delete comments to combat this.
Our philosophy is that Flippa should provide large amounts of verified information to potential buyers, so that the worth of an auction can be correctly assessed. This means the comment system is not required for more than feedback requests to the auction owner.

Allow bidders to have maximum bid
When a bidder bids on an auction, let them have an option to enter a maximum bid they're willing to pay... similar to Ebay. Then the system will auto bid on his behalf if his initial bid is outbidded by another user. This allows bidders from different countries win auctions without having to be up at some crazy hours to outbid other users before the auction ends.

Make buyers have a deposit before bidding
Have 10% Deposit in account before a bid can be placed. Shows buyer intent. This money should also be forfeited if the buyer ends up winning the site and does not pay. At least there should be some loss to the buyer. Too many dead beats.

Buyers now need to be premium certified to bid over $2000. This isn’t the complete deposit solution but it provides some measure of protection.

Shorten the 4-hour extension towards the end of the auction
With all due respect, but a 4-hour extension is way too long. I mean what is the point? People know when the auctions end so they should be stand by. Besides, a few minutes extensions should be more than enough to avoid biddings on the "buzzer"...

Add search to homepage
Add the ability to search directly on the homepage so we don't have to dig down to another link.

Provide a checklist of all the questions a buyer should ask before placing a bid
Many people are brand new to buying web businesses and it would be handy if you would display a "Buyers Checklist" of all the questions a buyer should ask before placing a bid.

Create iPhone App for Flippa
I think if you created an iphone app to make it easy to adjust and control everything you would get a lot more users on it. Most sellers have iphones. I know it would be a big benefit for me.

Allows sellers in a failed sale to offer the site to the second highest bidder
If the auction received a fraud last bidder who wins, it's better if you give 2 options to the seller: 1. Re-listing or 2. Offer the website to the 2nd highest bidder. This will be very helpful should the seller doesn't want to spend more time to re-list the website.

A new section that allows for buyers to post wanted ads
I would like to be able to inform the community of what I am interested in buying. Then sellers who are on the fence can post their website for sale, or contact me directly and make a deal without running the risk of not selling the site and paying fees.

Have a monthly payment program for frequent sellers to avoid individual listing fees
Many people like myself list a ton of sites on here, and the listing fees, while reasonable really start to add up. It would be nice if there were a monthly payment plan that entitled us to unlimited or X number of listings per month, for those that choose to take advantage.

24 hour support service
As Flippa is based in Australia, a completely different time zone to the majority of users, Support needs to run 24 hours per day - and not when I am asleep!

We should receive emails for listings in our watchlist when seller reduces BIN price.
I have missed quite a few websites because of this. The seller sometimes reduces BIN price by more than half but I am not notified and the website slips away

Allow Sellers to Relist Websites Fast when Dealing with New Users who Don't Pay
I sell alot of sites and every week I get 2-3 no payers, most are brand new flippa users who never sign back into the site. Sellers have to wait at least 6 days before disputing process clears and then you auction shows as a relist ( which makes the seller look like someone was wrong with the site). Sellers should be able to cancel any auction withing 48hours of no response or payment from a new user

Flippa.xxx domain for selling adult sites
An idea for Flippa inc to register Flippa.xxx domain for selling adult sites. Since the brand is trade marked and ICM Registries tight rules on domain squatters it's probable that Flippa inc can register it for such a purpose.

Create a logged chat or make private discussion with AJAX
Especially post-sale I find that communication is very tedious with the current private messaging system and I also find myself often going on skype or other chat systems to speak through the transaction details.
However everything that happens outside flippa can't be tracked by them and taken into consideration, should a dispute arise.
That's why I suggest a chat function in Flippa that is logged and that flippa staff can have a look at when there is a dispute.
Alternatively if the discussion area was based on AJAX principles so that one would

Place a checkbox on the bidding and BIN buttons making the bidder confirm that they WILL pay.
Ok,
I'm getting really fed up of flippas lack of care or willing to sort out these damn non paying bidders. Tweaking the bid page is a very minor help, but nowhere near enough.
I've had someone do a BIN on an auction who now seems to have decided to backout.
You need to add checkboxes and hurdles that effectively make the person read and agree to pay by ticking a bunch of checkboxes, acknowledging that they will be banned for life if they fail to pay.
I've had around 5 buyers not pay in the last 30 days. Completely… more
